May 30, 2016 the commencement day of Brigada Eskwela. The Department of Education, Schools Division of Romblon is all set to hold this year’s national maintenance week with a kick-off: Padyak para sa Brigada 2016.
Brigada Eskwela kick-off activity will start 6 in the morning of May 30, 2016 at Bagacay Elementary School (a 2015 National Brigada Eskwela Awardee for Elementary Exceptional Category) and followed by a padyak caravan to go around in the whole municipality of Romblon and expected to end at Timla Elementary School, in Barangay Macalas Romblon.
Hipolito Berano, School Governance and Operation Division Supervisor and Brigada Eskwela Coordinator said that this year’s kick-off is unique and different from the previous year’s opening salvo.
“We encourage bikers from different government agency and Romblon based-bikers to join us in this momentous event and we hope that this program be an avenue to encourage and engage our stakeholders to contribute their resources, time and effort to ensure that our schools are prepared for student’s in time for the opening of classes on June 13”, Berano added.
This year’s Brigada Eskwela will run from May 30 to June 04 with the theme “Tayo Para sa Paaralang Ligtas, Maayos at Handa Mula Kindergarten Hanggang Senior High School” anchored as the department implement the full swing of K to 12 Basic Education Program.
