The Department of Health – MIMAROPA (Oriental/Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) air ambulance airlifted its first passenger from Coron, Palawan on March 16, 2017 and was brought to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Taft Avenue, Manila.

According to DOH-MIMAROPA Regional Director Eduardo C. Two Czech nationals drowned in Coron, Palawan

Dalawang Czeh Nationals ang nasawi habang nagbabakasyon sa Coron, Palawan nitong March 13, 2017.

Ayon sa Regional Police Office MIMAROPA, ang dalawang nasawi ay kinilalang sina Jakub Brazda, 25-taong gulang; at Martin Sefcik, 28-taong gulang.

Ang mga biktima umano kasama ang 13 pang Czech Nationals ay nagsasagawa ng forisland hopping nitong umaga ng March 13. Naligo umano sila kasama ang 13 na iba pa sa Kayangan Lake, na kanilang huling destinasyon.

Napansin umano ng grupo bandang 4:30 ng hapon na parang hindi na nila kasama ang dalawa kaya nagreport agad sila sa pulisya.

The Department of Health – MIMAROPA (Oriental/Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) today formally launched its air ambulance to provide transport of patients from the scene of emergency to the nearest healthcare facility.

“This is the most effective and quickest response in saving a patient’s life, especially those who reside in remote and hard to reach areas. Critical patients and emergency cases needing immediate care can be transported right away to the nearest health facility without difficulty”, Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo stated during the launching ceremony held at the Puerto Princesa City Airport in Palawan.

More than a half million women are poor in MIMAROPA- Listahanan says

The Listahanan of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA identifies about 568,387 women of all ages or 45% from the total 1,257,631 women assessed, belong to poor households in MIMAROPA region.

Listahanan is a government mechanism that identifies who and where the poor are nationwide.

From the 2015 household assessment, a total of 102,670 poor women were identified in Occidental Mindoro; 145,944 in Oriental Mindoro; 37,983 in Marinduque; 56,632 in Romblon; and 225,158 in Palawan.
