Dalawang obrero ang sugatan sa pamamaril nitong gabi ng Biyernes, October 13 sa Sitio Sta. Ana, Barangay Cacawan bayan ng Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.

Kinilala ni Police Senior Inspector Alvimar Flores, hepe ng Pinamalayan PNP, ang mga nabaril na sina Belcezar Paz Frank, 61, at Sulpicio Durado Abuyo, 62.

Sa imbestigasyon ng Pinamalayan PNP, nag-iinuman ang dalawang mag barkada sa bahay ni Belcezar nang pasukan ng lumapit sa kanila ang hindi kilalang lalaki at pinagbabaril sila.

Nagtamo ang dalawa ng gun wounds dahil sa pamamaril.

Department of Health (DOH) – MIMAROPA (Oriental/Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) and the Marinduque State College (MSC) on October 3, 2017, signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) making the state college the Center of Raw Food Plant-based Preparation and Training in the region.

“We selected MSC since it the only institution of higher education in MIMAROPA that offers courses related to food technology,” Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo stated during the MOA signing held at the Marinduque State College in Boac, Marinduque.

Department of Health (DOH) – MIMAROPA (Oriental/Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) started its rapid health risk assessment for heavy metal poisoning among residents of Marcopper affected areas in Boac, Marinduque on October 2, 2017.

“More than half of Marinduque Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) are now trained to identify, assess and perform immediate health risk assessment to residents in areas affected by mine tailings. They can provide necessary management and treatment of individuals affected with heavy metal poisoning,” Regional Director Eduardo C.
