DSWD’s 2015 Listahanan database available starting this July

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MiMaRoPa announces yesterday that the new Listahanan database will be available to partner stakeholders starting July after the regional launch.

Listahanan is a mechanism of identifying poor families nationwide who eventually become potential beneficiaries of government social protection programs such as PhilHealth, DSWD’s Social Pension, Sustainable Livelihood and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Opposition to the proposed 15-megawatt circulating fluidized bed (CFB) coal-fired power plant continues in Palawan with the Environmental Legal Assistance Center (ELAC) submitting a position paper to the Environment Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The position paper was a result of an earlier public hearing in Narra town.

Lawyer Janssen Jontila said they sent the position paper on June 10 as stakeholders were encouraged to submit their position papers within 15 days of the hearing.

DOH, DepEd in Palawan to implement expanded & community-based deworming in July

The Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Education (DepEd) in Palawan are set to implement in July the second round of the Expanded National School and Community-Based Deworming Month in partnership with local government units (LGUs).

Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Rachel Paladan told the Philippine News Agency Wednesday that over 50 public health workers that include DepEd nurses, midwives, Garantisadong Pambata (GP) coordinators and members of the provincial health team will lead the project's implementation.
