Nag positibo ang dalawa sa tatlong pulis MIMAROPA sa confirmatory test na isinagawa sa kanila ng Crime Laboratory Office sa Camp Crame.

Matatandaang nitong unang dalawang linggo ng July, pagkatapos umupo si President Duterte at Gen. De la Rosa, nagsagawa ng randrom drug test ang buong Regional Police Office MIMAROPA sa lahat ng istasyon at opisina ng pulisya sa rehiyon.

Ang tatlong pulis na isinailalim sa confirmatory test ay mga pulis na galing sa Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro at Palawan.

DSWD continues to aid families affected by 'Habagat'

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office in the National Capital Region (NCR) has provided a total of PHP119,198.35 worth of assistance to families affected by the heavy southwest monsoon or "hanging habagat" rains.

In addition, 10,000 pieces of brown rice bars (energy bars) were delivered to the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC) warehouse in Quezon City for distribution to the affected residents.

The number of passengers stranded in a Southern Tagalog port due to bad weather has increased from 65 to 85, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said in its latest advisory as of 4 p.m. Sunday.

PCG said that among those stranded were passengers of one vessel and five motor bancas.

In its earlier advisory at 8 a.m. Sunday, the PCG said only 65 passengers were stranded after not being allowed to set sail due to bad weather. (PNA)

Heavy rains wash out three bridges in Busuanga in Palawan

Three detour bridges in the remote town of Busuanga in Palawan province have been washed out and destroyed by persistent heavy rains that began last week.

Washed out were the Sto. Niño Bridge, Bintuan Bridge and Balugo Bridge – all in the northern part of Busuanga, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) said Friday.

Officer of the MDRRMO, Gudy Aguilar said town residents now have to take the long route to get to their destinations.
