Department of Health (DOH) – MIMAROPA (Oriental/Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) in partnership with OLOF Raw Vegan and Plant Based Home Dining started its initial tour in the province of Oriental Mindoro and successfully trained 36 Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) in a three-day culinary workshop on the technology of raw vegan and preparation of cooked plant-based food that will be included in the nutrition and feeding program that will be implemented regionwide this year.

BICUTAN, TAGUIG CITY—Various stakeholders from the food industry came together at the Food Innovation Dialogue held at the Advanced Device and Materials Testing Laboratory (ADMATEL) Lecture Room on February 28, 2017.

The Solar Energy Systems Project of DOST-MIMAROPA, implemented in collaboration with DOH-MIMAROPA, was one of the finalists in the first Benita and Catalino Yap Foundation (BCYF) Innovation Awards under the Government Service Category.

The BCYF awards aims to honor excellence and recognize innovations that demonstrate breakthrough achievements in Government Service, Tech-Voc Education, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and Agribusiness.

In the awarding ceremony held at the Kalayaan Hall, Malacañan Palace last February 20, 2017, various DOST technologies were recognized for making significant strides in improving the quality of life of every Filipino people.
