Ibinahagi ni Vice President Leni Robredo ang ilang aral na natutunan niya umano ng ito'y bumisita sa South Africa para sa isang conference nitong nakaraang linggo.

Ayon sa Bise Presidente, hindi umano dapat gobyerno ang nagpaplano para sa mga pabahay sa mga informal settlers pero nanjan umano ang gobyerno para umalalay sa kanila sa pangangailangan nila.

Bigyan umano ng responsibilidad ang mga informal settlers na sila ang umasikaso sa kanilang sarili.

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved a pension hike for Social Security System (SSS) members along with a corresponding increase in contributions, Palace and SSS officials said Tuesday.

In a press briefing in Malacañang, Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said the President has approved a PHP1,000 increase for SSS pensioners starting this month.Duterte also approved a 1.5 percent increase in SSS contributions to be implemented starting May 2017 and an increase in monthly salary credit to PHP20,000 from PHP16,000.

In its Wednesday update, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) announced that 132,908 families or 602,770 persons were affected by the severe weather conditions brought about by Typhoon "Nina" during its onslaught on Dec. 25 and 26, with one person being reported dead due to the weather disturbance.

These individuals are mostly residents of 785 barangays in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Regions V and VIII, NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad said.

President Rodrigo Duterte urged over a hundred village leaders to vote for a Federal form of government when it will be presented to a plebiscite, probably three years from now.
