Simula nitong nakaraang Lunes ay muli nang tumatanggap ng voters registration ang opisina ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa buong bansa kasama ang Provincial Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Romblon.

Ayon kay Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez, hindi apektado ng long weekend 'holiday' ang pagbabalik ng voters registration at operasyon ng kanilang mga opisina.

"[This] weeklong ‘holiday,’ #TuloyAngTrabaho sa @COMELEC. #VoterReg2017,” sa post ni Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez.

Bukas ang lahat ng Comelec offices tuwing Lunes hanggang Sabado kasama ang holidays tuwing 8am hanggang 5pm.

Inanunsyo ng Malacañang ngayong Martes na walang pasok ang lahat empleyado ng government offices at klase sa lahat ng Public Schools sa buong bansa sa araw ng Huwebes, September 21.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, maglalabas ang Malacañang ng memorandum circular sa mga susunod na oras na magsususpinde ng pasok sa mga government offices, lokal man at national, ganun na rin sa klase sa lahat ng public schools, state colleges, at universities sa buong bansa.

Ang pagsuspinde ng pasok ay dahil sa National Day of Protest na idineklara ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kahapon.

"This is a most stupid and shameful decision the Congress has ever made," yan ang mga pahayag ni Dating Romblon Roman Catholic Bishop at ngayo'y Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes patungkol sa desisyon ng House of Representative na bigyan lamang ng P1,000 na budget ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) sa darating na 2018.

Ang mga nasabing hakbang umano ng kamara ay nagpapakita ng pag-abolish sa isang constitutional provision na nagsisigurado sa proteksyon sa human rights ng bawat tao.

DepEd-PENS donates school supplies to Aeta students

The Department of Education-Partnership of Employees and Non-teaching Staff of the Department of Education (DepEd-PENS) launched its 'Opensa Kontra Kakulangan sa Edukasyon' (OKKE) project aimed at extending aid to poor but deserving students in the country.

The launch was held during the organization's first national convention from Aug. 24 to 27 at Teachers Camp, Baguio City which was attended by almost 700 locally paid and nationally paid non-teaching personnel from all over the country.
