Normal parin umano ang presyo ng mga bigas sa merkado ng Pilipinas kahit tumaas na ang rice production ng bansa ngayong 2017.

Ayon kay Secretary Emmanuel Piñol na nasa Odiongan, Romblon nitong July 27, tumaas umano ang rice production ng bansa.

"From the average of 3.9 metric tons per harvest we are now up to 4.23 metric tons per harvest. With the harvested area of 4B hectare nag increase ng mga 5million metric tons per hectare [per harvest]," pahayag ni Piñol.
